In response to the original question, yes of course spouse probably matters. Intelligence is highly heritable from both sides. Mother effect a PP mentioned probably true. But there is a lot of variance and we only have 2 kids so chance is also a big factor. Again, doubt asking this question at a thread level will gain you much insight. [/quote]
