The female blogger hate on DCUM is strong! Like her or not, she does have organization that does amazing thing for underserved people in need. https://togetherrising.org/
I have nothing against female bloggers. I just find the oversharing style, crisis-drama-revelation spin cycle a bit dated and not informative or uplifting or creative. Great that she does charity work, but it doesn't make her writing or personal brand any more interesting, IMHO.
Perhaps you’re at a place in your life where you don’t need to hear the kind of things Glennon addresses . However, hundreds of thousands if not more women have gained and understanding of themselves from her work. Can’t hate her for that. She may not be your style But clearly she appeals to many.
I have young kids and am definitely in her demographic, but I don't find anything she says or writes surprising or revelatory. I don't think it's about place in my life, just my taste. She reminds me of Dooce -- same trainwreck "look at me" category. I'm glad she's helped some women, but I don't find her inspirational, just cringe-y.
