Everything I read stated you cannot turn it off permanently, only every time you start the engine, which is annoying AF. I also turnef off every safety feature except for the blind spot detector. They do come in handy, though I do also find thhem annoying at times. Too distractcing. [/quote] I think you just get used to pushing the button. I hate the blind spot detector! It's just blinking constantly like "you're on the beltway, you're on the beltway, you're on the beltway." It comes on so much more than the actual blindspot, so it's useless. Just turn your head.
