Remodeled in 2015. There is no grime or anything in any nook or cranny. I suspect that someone just didn't clean well. I'd suggest trying a hydrogen peroxide/baking soda combo, it lifts a lot of junk out of nooks and crannies. We did this behind a faucet in a bathroom we bought at the suggestion of someone at Home Depot rather than buying some caustic chemical. Worked like a charm.[/quote]
