Very few Secret Service there now as the current VP is not living at the observatory while it is remodeled. Apparently DC traffic cameras and license plate readers do not actually record traffic or read license plates. And there is genuinely no ability to "go back in time" and search for a vehicle. That needs to be fixed.  DC should approach Congress, DHS, etc for funds to build that capacity out.  Especially after the recent attack on the Capitol, threats toward members of Congress etc.  There has to be a way to capture and store some number of days worth of data from various feeds and to be able to use it to identify threats.[/quote]

Yes. Exactly what we need. More Red Chinese mass surveillance and record keeping about the minute details of the everyday lives of the entire population to catch a few criminals who, given the state of things, will quickly walk if they are prosecuted at all.

Let me repeat this story because it’s so crazy. On Mass Ave adjacent to the VPs residence, a woman sideswiped another car then proceeded to get out and threaten the other driver. The other driver gets in their car and attempts to flee for safety. The woman cuts the other driver off, gets out of her car with a gun. The other driver gets out of the car and attempts to run and the woman shoots the man in the back of the head. That woman then got back in her car, pulled a U-Turn and then casually drove off. I would like to repeat that this happened directly adjacent the VPs residence. That woman has not been caught and apparently will never be caught. [/quote]
