Why do you believe that somebody with a Diplomatic Credential can not carry a weapon? There are many people in this country with Diplomatic Credentials and international law enforcement credentials who are authorized to carry weapons.

Let me repeat this story because it’s so crazy. On Mass Ave adjacent to the VPs residence, a woman sideswiped another car then proceeded to get out and threaten the other driver. The other driver gets in their car and attempts to flee for safety. The woman cuts the other driver off, gets out of her car with a gun. The other driver gets out of the car and attempts to run and the woman shoots the man in the back of the head. That woman then got back in her car, pulled a U-Turn and then casually drove off. I would like to repeat that this happened directly adjacent the VPs residence. That woman has not been caught and apparently will never be caught.
And if the proposed omniscient surveillance system had identified that woman, it would gotten one criminal. One. One is even less than a few.

The touching the rear quarter panel of the car part is what’s most interesting to me.
That’s a police-tactic. Officers are trained to touch that exact area of the car, to leave a print. It’s ingrained into them. They do it automatically, without thought, every time they make a traffic stop.

I was behind a Maserati of the same color yesterday trying to make a left onto Beach drive near Piney Branch. The guy was not very savvy about needing to be bold on that left, otherwise you just aren’t gonna make it, but I didn’t honk because I thought of that news clip and figured “hmm, how many Maserati’s have I ever seen in DC”.

Attempts to reach the woman who was shot and the man inside the second vehicle targeted were unsuccessful.
Attempts by the Post were unsuccessful, not MPD.

Someone was murdered in the middle of the road adjacent the VPs residence and on the same street as countless embassies and the murderer is going to get away with it? If anybody had any idea where the priorities are, just look at what works and what does not. Parking enforcement is high tech with a near 100% enforcement record. Solving murders not so much.
