There are a few techniques to keep birds away from certain trees. - Cheapest and easiest is to find some old CD's that you no longer want (I sometimes cannibalize CDs from old PC software that I no longer use). Hang a handful of them from branches in the tree so that they are not touching other branches and can swing and spin. Also, you want them close to the edge of the canopy. As the wind hits them, it will spin the disks and the sunlight shining off the CDs will scare many birds away. - Alternatively, you can get various glittery tree hangs that are slightly more decorative but will do the same thing the CD's do, like: https://www.amazon.com/Chephon-Upgraded-Bird-Repellent-Discs/dp/B01LYEI23V/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=bird+repellent+tree&qid=1621297460&sr=8-5 https://www.amazon.com/Repellent-Devices-Deterrent-Reflective-Protecting/dp/B07THH4RJP/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=bird+repellent+tree&qid=1621297480&sr=8-7 https://www.amazon.com/Reflective-Bird-Repellent-Owl-Woodpeckers/dp/B01ETBKBAY/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=bird+repellent+tree&qid=1621297480&sr=8-8 - If that doesn't work, you can get predator decoys on Amazon or other places. If you get one with moving parts, the combination of the natural predator and the movement will scare many birds away. Examples: Owl, moving head: https://www.amazon.com/Rolan-Decoy-Model-Scare-Birds/dp/B07T66L1Z2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hawk+decoy+moving+head&qid=1621297306&sr=8-5 Owl, moving wings: https://www.amazon.com/Rolan-Decoy-Model-Scare-Birds/dp/B07T66L1Z2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=hawk+decoy+moving+head&qid=1621297306&sr=8-5 - You can get tree nets. Netting can make it harder for birds to land and discourage them from particular trees. That said, if the tree is large, this can be almost impossible or expensive to cover the whole tree. - Last there are smells that will keep some birds away. Garlic, cayenne powder or peppermint oil will discourage many birds. You can try making a diluted solution of peppermint oil in water and put in a sprayer to spray in the tree canopy. Especially if you spray closer to the window of the house, you may discourage birds from getting closer to the window.
