And I say this as someone who recently lost a parent, so I empathize with your husband, but perhaps some therapy is needed. I mean it's very possible your daughter could look like her grandmother, what is he going to do to avoid interacting with her because it might make him too sad? This is the sucky part of losing a parent before they get to meet your kids but he can't spend the rest of his life avoiding reminders of his mom because it might make him sad. It's not healthy for him, and it's not even healthy for your daughter. Hey honey, your name Is Barbara, but you have to be called Katie because Barbara makes your dad sad because it was his mom's name, and no it doesn't matter if you prefer to be called Barbara at some point.[/quote]
