It looks like Achilles got expanded age groups as well. https://www.salsoccer.com/u13-u16-mls-next-program/
No idea why he was given this. He's a horrible coach.
really makes me re-think mlsnext in general.
I'm sure he's a horrible coach and Achilles is terrible. Please stop with this. Achilles has traveled up and down the east coast playing in MLS Next for nearly two seasons now. They've played against some of the best clubs in the country and been seen by all of those coaches and MLS Next officials. MLS Next has made the decision, based on style and quality of play, to offer more age groups to Achilles. That's a big achievement for them, especially considering the size of the club and the relatively small player pool. There are clearly disgruntled folks on here that take every chance to run down Sal and the program. I'm sorry it didn't work out for your kid and I hope they're succeeding and happy wherever they are now. I was at Achilles 2009 (rising U13 MLS Next) tryouts last night and what I saw was an excellent group of kids that all got along and had fun, participatory coaching, and a high level of quality and speed of play. Finally . . . . please, please don't trot out the tired trope accusing any positive commenter of being Sal.
