I wish that were true. In about eight states, spousal rape cannot be prosecuted unless it meets certain standards -- usually the use of a weapon or force.

This is the case in Maryland, where spousal rape is against the law only if force or a threat of force is used.

In Maryland, as in some other states, there is an exemption for if the victim is incapacitated. Sounds crazy but it's true.[/quote]
