First of all this is the OP and at that a native Black Washingtonian who just recently moved back. I am not stirring any pots. I am new to the forum
so my question is valid and I had not read any other posts on the school. I have so many friends who have graduated from this school and attended top universities. I am
wondering why it’s not a sought after option for parents as I do have a child who will be entered high school in no time. I only see constant posts about Wilson so that is why I was asking. [/quote]

DCUM has many trolls who seem to be trying to get White and Black parents to argue with one another.  (To me, it seems like this is motivated politically somehow — as if conservatives want to see mostly-Democratic DC fight and try to stir the pot.)

There’s tons of discussion about Banneker here and a good thread in the last month or so.  The DCUM search feature is decent (but you may wish to select “most recent” when you search. You can also use Google to search DCUM.  Good luck![/quote]
