What course is this supposed to be? Are people really spending class time looking at pictures of people and saying what they see?
It's English class. The teacher is the head of the English department and Freedom High school. This is why kids graduate and can't write a proper 5 paragraph essay.
What the hell does any of this have to do with English class??? I was expecting the answer to be social studies or FLE. I went to a super progressive high school. We would have a full day retreat with seminars and lectures on MLK Day about these topics. I remember one was called "The Unbearable Whiteness of Barbie." But modern politics never came up in actual classes like English, even with the most liberal teachers. The closest was when we discussed lynching in American history.
Education changes with time. Other breaking news at 10 and 11.
In other words, education degrades with time.
This is a 1 minute clip of a teacher . One minute. We have no idea what kind of teacher he is. If you think education is degraded, home school.
There was no indication that this was even related to a book they were reading in class. English class is for writing and literature, not random lectures about racism.
