If this is a 12 English class, it makes sense because in 12 you approach texts through a series of critical lenses, one of which is race. That could be what’s happening here but we don’t know because someone posted it absent any other information or context because they have an agenda. That’s why you’re confused.

Of course I have to supplement at home, as well as go to tutoring centers that actually teach fundamentals. They've re-invented how to teach so many times that writing and math fundamentals are completely out the door. I'm not even talking about this particular teacher's clownish teaching methods.
