We came within months of relocating to Austin, but the only acceptable jobs open there are in the computer industry, and my husband is NOT a computer guy. He thinks he could be if he had to be - I know he'd be miserable. Austin is pretty nice, actually, but you're right, it is surrounded by TX - the state that gave us Dubya...and now Perry. Not to mention their state school board that is just miserable. I was ONLY willing to go there because his family is in TX and mine was willing to relocate with us. Otherwise, I have no use for the state.[/quote]
