Normally I'd bring a bottle of wine, but as I mentioned, we don't feel it is appropriate in this situation. We offered to bring dessert but the person who invited us (actually the husband, who I am pretty sure won't be cooking since he's mentioned he hardly ever cooks) said not to. I like the idea of a potted plant (flowers can be a pain) but maybe we'll just go with a thank-you card. [/quote]
