OP's musing makes it seem like OP doesn't even have the most superficial understanding of what, say, Exodus says about god's relationship with Israel. Seriously, I wonder what the results would be if you could get a truly accurate % of Christians who have actually read the Bible -- not just sat in church and have it read to them one Sunday at a time. I think way less than half, certainly if you include the Old Testament. I'm consistently amazed at the Biblical illiteracy of people who claim to be devout.[/quote]
