Who are we in humanity to say it's not a good plan? God's timing is not our timing. And yes, to the PP, Christians also recognize that God offered Himself to be known to all people but it was the Jewish people who chose Him first.

And then the Catholics came along and God told them they were in charge now and should murder and subjugate the Jews.

Whenever we humans question God's actions it usually leads to confusion, because it seems as though God does some crazy, silly, cruel or stupid things sometimes.

That's because the mind of God is too complex for us mere humans to understand.

Or perhaps there is no God.

OP's musing makes it seem like OP doesn't even have the most superficial understanding of what, say, Exodus says about god's relationship with Israel.

Seriously, I wonder what the results would be if you could get a truly accurate % of Christians who have actually read the Bible -- not just sat in church and have it read to them one Sunday at a time. I think way less than half, certainly if you include the Old Testament. I'm consistently amazed at the Biblical illiteracy of people who claim to be devout.

Umm... God created people no? Why ne needed to reach to them? And why not to reach to every other bunch in other corners of the Earth? Cause you know.. back then people did not exactly traveled that much.
And they all were on the same stage of development for the most part.

According to the midrash G-d DID offer the Torah to all the nations of the world and the Jews were the only ones that accepted it.
