How is the bike a danger to you in a car? In the one bike accident I got into (an Uber driver hit me while I was in a bike lane), there was minor damage to his side mirror, and he was totally fine.[/quote]

I have been hit (while standing still at a stop light) twice by bikes in Georgetown. Just sitting in an intersection waiting for traffic to start moving and the bike runs the red light and drives directly into my car. Once he crashed into the hood. And once into the drivers side door. The accident to the front quarter panel the cyclist rolled over the hood. Only real damage to car was a broken side turn indicator ($250 to be replaced). Cyclist got up apologizing profusely. Policeman who watched the hole thing made the cyclist sit down and take a break as he had hit his head pretty hard on the road. Second accident at the exact same intersection (near Key Bridge) Bike pedaled straight through red light and into my door. Bicyclist bounced off. Bike was totaled. $3000 paint job required to door.

I just honk at bikes now. Constantly. They just are not paying attention. And these electric bikes are traveling much faster than cars.[/quote]
