If it’s the category that’s a problem, what about other health impairment and specify ADHD, anxiety and DMDD. Has the school evaluated dc? What is their reasoning for the ED? What support are they offering?
School has evaluated DC. We had the diagnosis for awhile from a child psychiatrist and DC had 504 plan previously that was not sufficient. most of the academic impairment, in my opinion, is caused by the severe executive functioning deficits and impulsivity. I'm thinking OHI would create less issues down the road when moving to another school, less stigma, etc. DH thinks ED designation will provide a justification for more services.
