Severna Park is nice if you like an area that is 90% white where 50% of the people who graduate from Severna Park High School attend Anne Arundel Community College for a semester before dropping out and becoming an office assistant or real estate agent for the rest of their life, and most of the other 50% go to Salisbury or Towson. Most of the people that live there are from there and that’s why they think it’s some rich white la la land even though it’s not very different from the surrounding areas socio-economically, save for Severna Park having 0 poor people. I grew up there and there’s much better areas in AA County with more diversity and a way better commute to DC. [/quote]

This is so untrue. Severna Park is an amazing school and many of the students from there attend very competitive colleges. It’s true that there’s other amazing schools in AACo besides Severna Park and that one should not only limit their children to Severna Park schools, but to say that 50% of SPHS grads go to AACC and drop out and that the other half mostly go to Salisbury/Towson is very very very dishonest.
