Atholton is no less of an “upscale money school” than Marriotts Ridge and Glenelg. Don’t know why people talk about Atholton like it’s some poor school or like it has a lot of socio-economic diversity because it’s not true. It’s one of the wealthiest Howard schools and home prices there are high. [/quote]

Look we are zoned for Atholton and it is not in the same wealth category as the Ellicott City high schools and the western county high schools.  We have a ton of students that come from the older townhomes along Murray Hill, the apartments near Kings Contrivance, and the surrounding areas.  It's regular middle class surburbia.  Yes, it is now a step up from the poorer zones it used to be but it has come up to the middle of the road income level.  There are some higher priced homes, but nowhere near the amount you can get in the north and west parts of the county.[/quote]
