+1.  Maryland seems much more cautious than VA judging by how our year-round team has to go to VA to do any meets.  Our MCSL team ran practices last summer and some time trials.  I expect the same this year.  The only option I see for dual meets would be virtual (each team swimming at their own pool and comparing times).  I'm not sure all teams would even be able to do that.  I don't see the big meets like relay carnival, coaches, and all-stars happening this summer,[/quote]

Club teams have been running safe indoor meets for months. There is no good reason that they cannot run a safe outdoor meet. B meets may need to be limited in size, but the A meets can be run safely. [/quote]

I'm curious to see how that will work. Having been on our pool's board, we need the b team swimmers paying their fees in order to be able to afford our two coaches as well as our teen assistant coaches. If you curtail b meets, I wonder if you can still hold onto enough of the kids who are no longer going to any meets to fund to team. Winter swim is already operating at a loss and I doubt the pool as a whole will want to subsidize the swim team indefinitely  [/quote]
