From this and other threads I'm getting the sense that there are a few politically-motivated militant action vegans around. I see odd scientific claims made whenever someone talks about meat, carnivore or keto diets, and now dairy products. Your dietary cholesterol has very little impact on how much cholesterol is in your blood. Free range eggs are excellent for you. Factory farmed eggs like all factory farmed products will carry with them whatever crap the factory uses.
+1 My grandfather ate a diet that would make a cardiologist cry -- lots of red meat, tons of fried food, butter on everything. Neither he nor any of his six children have ever had high cholesterol. Also, most foods that are high in cholesterol are also high in saturated fats. Exceptions include eggs and shrimp. And eggs are nutritional powerhouses.
All four of my grandparents ate diets we would balk at (eggs, butter, red meat, fried shrimp) and they all lived into their 90s without any major health issues. They didn’t eat any processed crap or food full of sugar. This was also pre-Montsano so their food was not covered in Round Up.
