I can’t speak for others but I saw on CBS news that only 42% of African Americans intend to get the vaccine. There are of course historical reasons for this. Seeing as the vast majority of teachers/staff in DCPS are people of color I’d venture to say that PP isn’t alone. [/quote]

That makes sense, as someone half black I still am hesitant at the doctors and have been denied tests, I hate having to say, "Please send me a legal document saying you denied 'x' test," just to get bloodwork tests done...the bias against black people in the medical field is still there.

But I don't think they would create a vaccine to hurt us in 2020...but I still feel hesitant.

Just like the parents at my school, if you have noticed most parents who aren't in ward 3 or 6 don't want in person learning, not because they don't value, want, or need it but they're scared or they'd rather have others try the CARES classrooms first and see how that turns out.
