I can’t speak for others but I saw on CBS news that only 42% of African Americans intend to get the vaccine. There are of course historical reasons for this. Seeing as the vast majority of teachers/staff in DCPS are people of color I’d venture to say that PP isn’t alone.
I would dearly hope a credentialed teacher would be able to understand the science of the vaccine...
I dearly hope you understand history. If you don’t understand PPs comment is not about science, you need to do some research.
Dp: I understand the history and the mistreatment that recalls, but it should also be quite evident that this scenario is not like that history. Thinking people should be able to see the difference.

Even if the new administration orders more in January it will be many more months for production to catch up to need. Likely summer or even fall before teachers and all dcps staff have access.
I want to know if we are going to be able to ensure everyone working with kids gets the vaccine. Unless they have a actual medical reason we are a high risk family and can't risk kids being in class with adults that refuses to get the vaccine.
DCPS is not going to mandate a vaccine. They have already stated that.
I’m a DCPS teacher and I won’t be taking the vaccine.
Will you be returning to the classroom or claiming you can’t?
Not pp. Why this question? I'm a sped teacher and our admin said none of us are returning (at our school). So I actually cannot.
