What did work was setting an alarm and bribing him to sit (find your kid’s currency - mine is book obsessed), and giving him a reward afterwards (in our case it was savory treats like a small piece of bacon or a few tortilla chips). Once he got it, we stopped the rewards and had pretty much no accidents. And he started waking up dry in the morning. He was 2.5.
