Here is your encouragement: having a toddler who uses the toilet (with insert) to poop is the best thing ever! It also totally cured his withholding and constipation. You’re helping the environment and saving money by not using diapers for the next year. And your child looks so cute in underwear!

How do you get your child into the stroller or car seat?
She's been in a stroller or car seat for her entire life. The potty is new.
So she won’t let you pick her up and sit her anyplace she hasn’t been in in her whole life?! Seriously that’s insane, PP! You have to show her how to use a potty.
Omg. Of course I'm going to show her how to use the potty. I'm actually insanely strict. But I don't want her first experience of the potty to be me forcing her on it. Last week I tried to force her into her new winter bunting and it caused a 45 minute meltdown. Physically holding a kicking and crying toddler on a potty doesn't seem like the best way to start this process.
How old is your toddler? Is she developmentally normal and curious?
She's almost 23 months. Yes, in fact pretty advanced (I hate saying that because it sounds ridiculous but she knows all her numbers and letters). She's just very strong willed and has never liked being moved or restrained. Anyway, we have made progress since last night! Daddy got her to sit on the toilet. Now she'll sit, working on peeing.
It isn’t for every child. I had a really strong willed independent kid and oh crap was a disaster. A crappy disaster, literally. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with anything other than a totally complacent toddler.

I disagree completely! Oh Crap worked beautifully on my extremely strong-willed, independent and high energy toddler. He decided when he had to go and I would remind him but not bug him. He trained at 22 months.
