This is good advice.

Remember that Jeeps are "cult" cars.  They have a huge devoted following because they are fun.  The 100k figure shouldn't bother you too much IF it is an inline 6 motor.  They are bullet proof.  But, devotees are looking for that and that's why they maintain value.

OP here--I do not want a pickup b/c the antiques are valuable and I do not want to risk damaging in transport. The Wrangler has a hard top and is easy to load and keep thing protected but also not slamming around during transport.[/quote]

I have a wrangler and the inside is very small.  You aren't going to get much in it.  We had to get a tow shelf for luggage.  You'd be better off with a pick up truck and hard top or much bigger SUV like a suburban.[/quote]
