Rust is a serious issue on some. They also may have intel on heels coming to the market. Facebook marketplace has a lot of jeeps tho and much cheaper than dealers. Just did the same thing you are doing.
This is good advice.
Remember that Jeeps are "cult" cars. They have a huge devoted following because they are fun. The 100k figure shouldn't bother you too much IF it is an inline 6 motor. They are bullet proof. But, devotees are looking for that and that's why they maintain value.
From your description, I think you would be better off with a small pickup, like a Ford Ranger.
OP here--I do not want a pickup b/c the antiques are valuable and I do not want to risk damaging in transport. The Wrangler has a hard top and is easy to load and keep thing protected but also not slamming around during transport.

here ya go OP. buy your toy on the premise that you want to haul furniture with it.

Nice try. I get that you want a Jeep, but your rationale is horrible. You need any old SUV or minivan.
OP here. I have thought through and pretty sure my logic is sound. I know what types of pieces I am moving and you don't. The question is where to buy a used Jeep--the why doesn't matter.
But you are wrong!!!! Those of us who have Jeeps love them with a burning passion - but a good vehicle for moving things in - not. Not horrible but not great. Plus, they resale high - it's why I ended up being a new one. You are not going to find a deal on one. SUV, Van.
OP here--please read my original post. You are not answering my question. I asked best place to buy used Jeep. I did not ask where can I get a deal. I did not ask your opinion on what type of vehicle I need. I asked best place to buy used jeep--that's it.
