I agree. I don't think it's acceptable. It's like the mechanic taking your car out for a joy ride and burning up your gas. Your dog walker cooking up a meal but washing the pots & pans. They are hired to clean the house, it doesn't mean they can use the shower & OP's personal soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. Those are personal items. It's still weird and inappropriate.

I also agree that this is not acceptable.  You are paying for cleaning and nothing else.  Case closed. There is a huge trust factor when you give someone a key and let them have access to very personal things like medicine cabinets, opened mail, financial records, jewelry, sexual equipment, etc. all while you are not around.   If they feel pretty comfortable with your bathroom and are not concerned with propriety, then what else is going on.   I would fire them, but probably not have the guts to tell them why.  I just would move on, but keep the camera's rolling for the next crew.[/quote]
