[/quote] Because her DIL is married to her son, who wanted to stay. OP was not “unwell” enough to not stay for dinner, which was already prepared. She had somehow managed a full day of activities. It’s a sore arm, not the stomach flu. Take an analgesic, ask for a hot or cold pack, eat dinner That was already made, visit, and then go home. This is hardly an arduous undertaking. [/quote]
