And maybe she isn't wrong: she does not modify her behaviour in the slightest to suit us, doesn't learn 'tricks' or follow commands, but instead has all her needs provided for, including the best of foods, someone to clean her toilet daily, and people who move over to let her join us at night in what she sees as 'her' big soft bed.
