My older cat is mad at me (and everyone else in the world) simply because we exist. She allows us to live because otherwise there would be no one to open the food cans...if she ever develops opposable thumbs, we'll all have to start sleeping with one eye open because we'll have become expendable.

My kitten is never mad at anyone. Ever. It's shockingly un-catlike.

I had to get a stinkbug away from mine the other day. She'd been playing with it long enough that she still smelled like stinkbug for the rest of the day. I'll let her go after flies and other small bugs, but I have no desire to have a stinky cat around.

She's mad because I won't let her turn my clock radio (I'm old school) on and off all night long. Hitting the buttons is just so much fun.

I wouldn't let her sit in my lap while I was pooping. Instead, I locked her out of the bathroom and got to listen to her yodel and holler for the entire time I was on the toilet. So much for a few minutes of peace and quiet!

I pushed her away when she jumped on my neck at 6:00 this morning and started licking my eyelid. I guess she thought it was playtime? I locked her out of the bedroom and had to listen to another 20 minutes of batting the door and meowing.

She's curled up on my lap now, so apparently she's over it.

I had to clip my cat's nails this morning because he scratched me so much I bled while we were playing. I guess he thinks that I'm punishing him for winning our play session.

That is because your dog recognises that you are the owner/in charge. My cat doesn't see things that way. And maybe she isn't wrong: she does not modify her behaviour in the slightest to suit us, doesn't learn 'tricks' or follow commands, but instead has all her needs provided for, including the best of foods, someone to clean her toilet daily, and people who move over to let her join us at night in what she sees as 'her' big soft bed. I guess we've been trained.

Reminds me of two kittens I had once. I put a bell collar on each of them. I'm sure they were hating me all the time while they tried to get those collars off.

Because we thought she seemed lonely so we brought home a little kitten to be her friend. Ha!

Even though her litter box is cleaned daily, she will seize any socks or other smaller clothing items she can find and put them in her litter box if I am not around to scoop it immediately after she has a pee. Today I found a pack of two new pairs of tights in the litter box, so I ran around the house to make sure that there were no more clothing items she could take. I later searched for and discovered a stash of socks under the sofa that she has been storing for use in her litter box as needed. I threw away the tights and put the socks back in their drawers, and now she is outraged and glaring at me. I am actually considering getting one of those cat toilet training kits that allow the cat to use the human toilet, because I think our cat would really prefer that.

The crowning indignity was when I removed her from the centre of our bed, where she was settled for her long morning snooze, because I wanted to change the linens. Our cat believes life is very hard indeed.

My cat loves distance learning and having the kids home all day. However, the minute they shut their bedroom doors for school he will wander the hallway screaming, “hello, hel-lo, Hello, HELLO” until someone opens their door. Everyone must be awake with doors open for inspection by 8am.

I cruelly closed the door to the pantry to stop her from chewing packing plastic, her very favorite thing to do besides sleep. She will probably sh!t on my pillow.

We were all worried that he was sick, having only witnessed the purging. Nope—he was just engaging in a cat version of a vomitorium. Now he’s mad that he lost his giant supply and is facing the wall to make a point.

Sorry about the clean-up.
