Because numerous health experts say masks work and they want to minimize any risk of transmission. What kind of question is this?
Dr Gayles is pretty conservative. When he made his decision he cited AAP who along with CDC and WHO said there are risks for kids wearing masks during vigorous exercise including breathing issues and growth of microorganisms So no health experts are not saying wear masks during vigorous exercise for kids. Am I the only person who has seen a kid / parent realize for the first time they have a breathing issue on the playing field? Newly discovered asthma, allergy other? That gets amplified and detected during running hard for extended periods. Heat related breathing issues? I guess I am old having older MS and HS kids, but have seen it a few too many times.
