Pre-DA, to get recruited from a NOVA club, you played for FCV (ECNL), Mclean (ECNL), or BRYC (not ECNL). That first DA year, the younger girls flocked to the new DA teams and to the expanded ECNL teams while the older girls on already-established teams (03 and above) stayed put. I think it took BRYC another year to get admitted into ECNL, and by then the damage to their pipeline was done. The 04s and below who wanted “elite” had more options in either ECNL or DA at Mclean/FCV/VDA/Spirit (pre-Metro) etc. [/quote] Awesomely wrong analysis [/quote]
