Of course not.  Wearing masks is just as likely to be counterproductive as productive - period.

It's a peculiar combination of virtue signaling and superstition like just about everything seems to be these days.   There's no evidence that it slows the spread of covid - and worse, if it actually did slow the spread, that might actually result in more people dying.

Still we all go round wearing them just like people in previous centuries hung garlic on their doors to keep vampires away, or whistled for the wind, or danced for the rain.  There's no hope for mankind :-(.[/quote]
