I have met some small dogs I've liked, particularly a couple of French bulldogs and a cavapoo, none of which were barky or hyper. We also had a relatively big dog (Irish setter) when I was young who was a complete disaster. But generally speaking, I'm a big dog person and always have been for reasons of temperament. And we have a big dog right now (Labrador, 70+ pounds and maybe more to grow) and the joke is that she never barks. We've heard her bark maybe two or three times in her whole life! [/quote]
