CityDance will start all virtual and then add hybrid with very small groups in studio by October if the guidelines and restrictions stay the same. We will choose virtual only, although I believe the school and conservatory is adhering to the safety protocols and we may change our mind. I’m not sure how they will handle the registration process if more students accept hybrid as an option than capacity allows. I guess we will wait and see. Overall, I am impressed with CityDance’s negotiation of this changing landscape. DD finished last season on Zoom and has spent most of her summer in intensives. They have been excellent. Feeling good about fall. Those who see online dance as a poor substitute or money grab are missing the point. This is our reality, and I’m grateful a few high quality programs are working hard to remain an important part of students’ lives. DD would not be the same happy resilient kid without dance.[/quote]
