He said some people just shouldn’t deadlift with a straight bar. Hex bar is ok. [/quote] It's apparently pretty easy to get injured straight bar deadlifting. I've always been lucky, but I recently deloaded and went from 3x3 at a heavy weight to 4x5 at a lighter weight with a strict focus on form just to make sure. I'll go heavy again when I'm sure form is locked in. I've also seen coaches and PTs that I trust commenting that hex bar is much less likely to injure people.[/quote]
