Most people vastly overestimate how many calories that need and wildly underestimate how many calories they consume. I get that you're restricting cals, good. You probably need more exercise now too. Getting rid of weight is HARD. Remember, 1lbs is about 3500 calories, so even if you cut 500 calories per day it can take one week just to lose 1 lbs. It can take quite a long time to lose 20 lbs. Slow steady progress OP.
This x100000. If you want a really cut physique, you have to eat less than you think and work out harder than you think. Keep going and expect to slog it out for 6 months before your body looks the way you hope. The good news is, every month it does get easier because your body gets used to eating less so your appetite will start to adjust. I went from being in okay shape to great shape and it took about a year before I stopped being hungry and I could eat based on appetite without counting calories. So even when I switched to maintenance it was still exactly like dieting until my appetite/hunger FINALLY adjusted. You can do this, your gut will go away, but LOLZ about the two months. Check back in 6 months.
