I hope they start enacting more strict restrictions. We are failing. We need to have restrictions on who is outside when. More enforcement of staying in and possibly even shutting down takeout. I would be for fining parents who let their kids plays with neighbors. And I say this as someone with kids.
This is not the problem. The source is in the nursing homes. That is where a large portion of the deaths is coming from. The most new cases are coming from the Hispanic community. Keeping people in quarantine in close quarters is likely part of the problem. Multiple families sharing apartments would be better off outside in the fresh air. Check out the statistics --the percentage of new cases in the Hispanic community is going up daily. Hispanics are less than 17% of our population, yet almost 60% of the cases in Fairfax County. Stricter restrictions will only affect the people currently observing the rules. I doubt that it is spreading through takeout. Open up. If PP wants to stay home and keep her kids in the house, she is welcome to do so.
I’ve been a Northam supporter for the most part and a bit left (but not way left) and the though of fining families for letting kids play with neighbors does not sit well. I support the phases for opening but think the state should all enter it at the same time.
