Also it depends what you have checked in your box, drop off or signature (doesn't say that but something else) once by mistake I unchecked and then knocked. If you don't respond after they text/email you then they will sometimes take a photo to protect themselves, so that you don't complain that they didn't deliver as many deliveries get stolen.
