See.. I don't find the Ring that scary.  A bit creepy, but not scary.  I think it's the combination of the face and voice of the girl that scares me. I can't get it out of my head.

So this is kind of dorky but if I start getting super scared I try to imagine the actors just as regular people, eating from craft services between takes and like, I don't know, rehearsing their lines or something. I tell my kids to use this method too and it seems to help them. Of course, The Exorcist is next-level scary and maybe nothing can make it unscary. Except maybe watching it with the sound off.
