This.  I'd really like to know what sunk costs they incurred that they can't offer refunds to rec families.  Considering the thousands of kids who play rec soccer in Arlington that's a whole lot of money to hold on to. Rec coaches aren't paid, they likely aren't stuck with a bill to ArlCo for the fields. Uniforms are new only every 2 years or so.  What expenses are so great that they are intending to hold onto all of that cash?

My child wants to play in the fall and luckily it isn't a financial hardship, but I'm irked that a nonprofit is planning to keep money that I paid for an activity even though that activity isn't happening.[/quote]
