Z pack is for secondary bacterial infection.  The anti-malarial drug only shows a potential mild effect to reduce duration, not to cure or prevent it.  Basically, David Lat is on the verge of death, and doctors are throwing whatever might help at him, even if they’re not sure it will work.  Then big problem with what Trump said was that he basically touted it as an easy cure, which it’s not, but which will make people complacent about avoiding it if they think it’s easy to treat.[/quote]

From what I’m seeing, the Z-pack, while an antibiotic, actually inhibits viral growth.  There were some doctor videos on YouTube explaining it but I can’t remember exactly what it does.  That’s not to say all antibiotics do this.[/quote]
