But it does make a difference! Asthma is a lung/breathing issue . This virus attacks this whole system so people with asthma, people who smoke, old people and very overweight people are at much higher risk of dying. Why do you think people in the most severe cases are having to go on ventilators? My 50 yr old uncle died a few yrs ago from Legionnaires disease he contracted in Germany. He had asthma and was a smoker.
stop it stop it stop it! you are so desperate to prove it can't happen to you.

This article says that he has been placed on a z pack and an anti malarial drug. Isn’t that what the entire internet is bashing Trump for saying shows promise in treatment? If the doctors at NYU are using it, it must be for a reason.
It’s clearly not a panacea if he is on a ventilator.
This. They're throwing everything they have available at it and its not working.

Z pack is for secondary bacterial infection. The anti-malarial drug only shows a potential mild effect to reduce duration, not to cure or prevent it. Basically, David Lat is on the verge of death, and doctors are throwing whatever might help at him, even if they’re not sure it will work. Then big problem with what Trump said was that he basically touted it as an easy cure, which it’s not, but which will make people complacent about avoiding it if they think it’s easy to treat.

There younger people without pre existing conditions who are getting very sick.
Understood, but the preponderance of severe cases are linked to pre-existing conditions.
Exercise-induced asthma is hardly a pre-existing condition. It's not hypertension or diabetes or lung disease.
OK, a complicating factor.
