In case you are wondering why, the sweeper/stopper system went out of fashion because if you have a back four, having wing backs that overlap up instead of a center back that roams forward makes so much more sense, is more reliable, safer and more productive. Teams often still have a deep six playing that stopper kind of role. [/quote]
