As for 'Have they not been taught anything about serious consequences?[/quote]" Of course we have all told our children not to do drugs and alcohol and everything else "bad" but like the above post suggests they are stupid at that age. Doesn't make it right. Doesn't make it bad parenting. Just stinks for them and the parents.

I told mine once they were old enough to understand if they get caught with drugs (any) or have a DWI or DUI don't call me or their dad. Will not respond they are on their own. My 26year old, my youngest, recently told me, that stayed with him all through HS and college, and he said he knew I meant it. For some reason it stuck well with him.
