My older kid is on a quarter system schedule and has been home since the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so over two weeks now. And she'll go back the weekend after New Year's Day for the start of winter quarter. My younger finishes his last final a week from today, but then doesn't go back until January 26th. And no, I'm not OK with either of them being complete blobs for the entire 5/6 week break. A week of vegging is fine, but after that -- help out around the house, pick up some hours at your high school job, apply to jobs/internships if you haven't already solidified something for the summer, etc. [/quote]
