I really love my Kia Niro. It's a great size and well designed. My husband keeps offering to replace it with a Tesla, but I'm perfectly happy with my Niro.
OP here- Is yours the hybrid or the plug in hybrid? I'm thinking of going to the dealership and looking, but I would probably walk out with it :D I'm planning on buying a bit down the road.
I have thr hybrid. The plug in wasn't available yet when I bought.
You can buy one out of Maryland.
I bought my Niro two years ago before they released the plug in. We tried buying a plug in VW for my husband, and the dealer would only sell to us if we were a Maryland resident.
PP here. That happened to us back in 2016. We wanted to buy a new SparkEV and they would only sell new to MD residents. We ended up buying a used one. This past summer we looked at the Hyundai Kona EV and asked if they would sell to VA residents. They said they would and that the GM rule was because the SparkEV was a compliance car.
